As a key delivery partner in the central belt, partnering with National Heritage Lottery Fund Great Place Scheme and Scottish Canals, we delivered a flagship programme for Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Water.
With aims of placemaking, wellbeing, and ownership, we engaged with the community to create a unique programme celebrating the natural environment and wildlife, and the history and cultural heritage of the communities along the Forth & Clyde Canal.
Working with artists and performers from across the region, we created a self-guided walk using Falkirk Explored app which included a geo-triggered walk and virtual reality game, performance, workshops, art installations, boats procession, and tours along the waterway.
From the creative conception to the delivery and evaluation, working closely with Event Scotland and partners to spotlight and celebrate one of Scotland’s historically significant and beautiful green corridors was a wonderful collaborative project.
