Fire & Light was a significant event in Scotland’s Winter Festival programme. As part of the countries Hogmanay celebrations, this event brought thousands of people to the Helix Park for their first footing of the year.
As producer of the 2019 event, I curated the theme: Cosmic Fortunes, which brought the twelve-star signs to the park in the form of art, projections, performance, fire and light. AS audiences were taken on a journey to look to the future the seven-metre spherical artwork Gaia, by Luke Jerram, was the climax of the event.
As the visionary creator of the 2019 Fire & Light, the success of this event paved the way for more creative and engaging events in Falkirk.
